We will visit the impressive and ancient port built by King Herod about 2,000 years ago. Once there, we will learn about the influence of Rome on the local culture, and about the spiritual and physical exports this land has to offer.
09:30 – Tour of Old Jaffa / Neve Tzedek neighborhood and Rothschild Boulevard
Jaffa is already mentioned in the Biblical book of Jonah as a port city. Jaffa became a holy city to Christianity through the story of the vision of St. Peter. The city’s strategic location made it a coveted target of conquest throughout history by, among others, Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte, and many other well-known figures. During our tour, we will visit the city’s alleyways and feel its magic through homes, alleyways, and the view of Tel Aviv.

10:00 – Tour the Old City of Jerusalem: the Jewish Quarter
We will begin our morning with a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. Through its alleyways and stories, we will learn about Abraham, who arrived here with Isaac about 4,000 years ago, King David, who built up the city 3,000 years ago, and the holy focal point built by King Herod 2,000 years ago. We will discover 2,700-year-old walls in the Jewish Quarter and visit the Western Wall, holy to the Jewish People.

14:30 – Continue touring the Old City: the Christian Quarter and the Muslim Quarter
Jerusalem is holy to the three major monotheistic faiths. At this stage of the itinerary, we will walk along what Christianity teaches is the path Jesus took to the location of his crucifixion. We will visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the place where Jesus was crucified and where, according to Christian tradition, he was resurrected. On our tour, we will also examine the Islamic connection to Jerusalem, the story of its sanctification and how it became the third holiest city in Islam.
